We've been trying really hard to have family night. Connor is getting to the age where it is really important. It's so exciting cause he point to Jesus' picture and will say "Jesus...Brother" I always tell him he is his big brother. Sometimes he gets confused cause he has this little Alma action figure and he tells me that he's Jesus. Oh well... Well on Monday for family night we TRIED to make a gingerbread house. Mike and I are professionals at not reading the instructions. So we were trying to get the dang thing to stand up and it just wouldn't. After we totally ruined the thing we read the instructions and it said to place something in the center to support the walls(oops) and to let it sit for 30min so the frosting will dry(oops) Welp better luck next year.

Oops. Well, at least you are having FHE. That's something we need to work on.
It's the thought that counts right? we will be decorating gingerbread houses on Saturday. Oh how I love the holidays
Hey, thanks for stopping by my blog! Okay, I had this problem about four years in a row. Now I hot glue the whole thing together and let the kids do the rest. Give it a try! Don't let them eat it though! :)
Even when I've read the instructions mine have never turned out that great! It's the effort that counts and I'm sure the boys still had fun.
What a fun family home evening activity... but so sorry it didn't work out as planned. but seriously... your awesome for trying. at least your trying to make fun memories. I bet because of the flop you'll remember it that much better!
I think you get an A for effort at least. That is pretty funny.
wow, what a bunch of losers!! Tell mike he sucks!! LOL
You guys are so funny! We need to get on the FHE wagon too. You make great examples to your slacker friends! :)
miss you guys!
we won't be going to Logan anytime soon unfortunately. I wish we were!!! We are pretty excited to be parents. Curtis always mentions how he wishes Mike were up here along with some of his other buddies so they could just make him laugh and relax a little about school. Your kids are so cute. I hope ours are cute.
That is so funny. That is so something I would do. You are so cute! I am so proud of you for doing FHE! It really is important. Love ya
Alexis
Hey, I wanted to comment on your previous post but was afraid you wouldn't see it. That is sooooo cool that you donated your hair. Read my post from last week about Mikayla's little friend, and you will know what good you are doing!
That's hillarious because I'm the same way and Chris is totally opposite for reading instructions! But at least You and Mike had fun attempting to make it right? We'll have you over for dinner sometime and do a fun lesson/activity. Good job on fhe, we're working on reading scripture with Taylor and making her sit through it. =0) BTW I liked your hair it looks nice on you. I want to get mine done more dramatic now that I'm used to this style. Maybe in a few weeks. Kylie is The Best!
haha that is so funny! I always have the same problem... so I now buy the ones put together at the grocery store and we just decorate them!
Rockin' gingerbread house! I love them. I can't wait until I can get away with doing all the fun things like that in the name of kids and fhe:).
